MacKellar is growing its partnership with Aeris Resources on a developing mining project near Nyngan, NSW, and we're looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in a growing operation, working closely with the mining and operations teams across short-term mine planning, scheduling, mine design and Drill & Blast activities.

About the Role
n
As a Mining Engineer, you'll work closely with the operations and technical teams to develop practical plans and schedules that support safe and efficient mining operations.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Developing short-term mine plans, designs and schedules to meet operational and contract requirements
n
Working with operations to develop practical and achievable plans, schedules and designs
n




Delivering plans and schedules to operational personnel
n
Monitoring progress against plan and identifying opportunities for improvement
n
Supporting mine design and scheduling activities
n
Planning, optimising and monitoring Drill & Blast activities
n
Building strong working relationships across mining, operations and technical teams
n
Contributing to continuous improvement and operational optimisation
n
Ensuring engineering activities align with safety, quality and production requirements
n

What You'll Bring
n
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
n
n
Bachelor of Engineering – Mining or Civil
n
Previous experience working as a Mining Engineer in open-cut mining
n
Strong understanding of mine planning, scheduling and design
n
Experience working closely with mining operations
n
Understanding of Drill & Blast planning and optimisation
n
Robust analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to communicate technical information clearly to operational teams
n
A practical, solutions-focused approach to mine planning
n
