The Consultancy firm is currently experiencing considerable growth, thus requiring the services of experienced and motivated Utility Works Project Manager. .
n
Our office is located in Notting Hill in Melbourne's South East.
n
Reports to: Utility Works Senior Project Manager
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Manage the delivery of contestable works projects, including Underground Residential Distribution (URD), overhead electricity infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and utility augmentation projects.
n
Coordinate project activities from planning and design through to construction, auditing, approval, and asset handover.
n
Liaise with power authorities, utility providers, contractors, consultants, and clients to facilitate project delivery and approvals.
n
Support constructors and stakeholders in achieving network audit and compliance requirements.
n
Prepare and manage project documentation, authority applications, forms, reports, and handover packages.
n
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, progress meetings, and respond to construction-related queries.
n
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable VESI standards, utility requirements, and distribution network legislation.
n
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in resolving technical and delivery issues.
n




Provide general project and operational support to the business as required.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
n
n
Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma of Project Management
n
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
Australian-recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, and/or Project Management
n
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry (VESI) or utility infrastructure sector.
n
Sound understanding of VESI requirements, standards, approval processes, and compliance obligations.
n
Experience managing utility, power authority, contestable works, URD, or electrical infrastructure projects.
n
Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects from design through to construction, audit, and handover.
n
Experience working with utility providers, contractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.
n
Knowledge of utility requirements for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
n
Solid stakeholder management, communication, report writing, and documentation skills.
n
Proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n

Highly regarded:
n
n
Previous experience with Power Authority design approvals and delivery processes.
n
Experience in contestable works and Underground Residential Distribution (URD) projects.
n
Electrical design experience within utility or distribution networks.
n
Established knowledge of Victorian electricity distributors and authority requirements.
n
n
