Nationwide Corporate Services is seeking an experienced, professional and customer-focused Full Time Lead Security Officer to join our team at a prominent retail shopping centre in Orange, NSW.

This position is suited to a capable security professional who is ready to take the lead on site and work closely with the Centre Management team to support the successful delivery of security services.

To attract the right officer, this position will be paid at 6% above the applicable Security Services Industry Award rate.

As the Lead Security Officer, you will maintain a visible and professional security presence, support day-to-day site operations, respond to incidents and help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, contractors and centre staff.

About the Role

As the Lead Security Officer, you will maintain a visible and professional security presence, support day-to-day site operations, respond to incidents and help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, contractors and centre staff.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Take the lead in the day-to-day delivery of security services across the retail centre.
n




Work closely with the Centre Management team to support operational requirements and successful service delivery.
n
Build positive working relationships with retailers, contractors, customers and other key stakeholders.
n
Patrol and monitor the centre to identify and prevent potential security and safety risks.
n
Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance.
n
Support the management of antisocial behaviour, theft-related incidents and other retail security matters.
n
Conduct routine inspections to ensure the centre remains safe, secure and well maintained.
n
Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, handovers and other required documentation.
n
Identify emerging risks or operational concerns and promptly elevate them to Centre Management and Nationwide management.
n
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong and professional security presence.
n
Support and guide other security officers to ensure consistent service standards.
n
Follow all site procedures, work health and safety requirements and company policies.
n

About You
n
n
Previous security experience within a retail or shopping centre environment.
n
The confidence and capability to take the lead during shifts and support other officers.
n
Strong customer service and stakeholder-management skills.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n




The ability to work closely and professionally with the Centre Management team.
n
The ability to remain calm, make sound decisions and take appropriate action under pressure.
n
Strong attention to detail and accurate incident-reporting skills.
n
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving security and operational concerns.
n
A current NSW Security Licence.
n
A current First Aid Certificate.
n
A strong commitment to professionalism, teamwork and service excellence.
n
