Job Description
Manage all aspects of capital works projects, from initial planning through to completion.
n
Develop and oversee project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
n
Engage and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
n
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
n
Prepare and present progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
n
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
n
Coordinate with internal and external teams to streamline project delivery.
n
Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
n
A successful Capital Works Manager should have:

Proven experience in managing construction projects, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
n
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Australia.
n
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time.
n
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Experience in coordinating with contractors and internal teams effectively.
n
A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
n
A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
n
