Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join an established building and construction business based in Ipswich QLD.

This is a permanent opportunity working across a diverse range of building projects, supporting both sales and project requirements from initial budgets and quotations through to detailed tenders and costing.
n
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, The role would suit an Estimator with a strong building or construction background who is comfortable working across multiple projects and liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project and manufacturing teams.

Primarily, you will be responsible for:

Preparing budgets, quotations, tenders, for the Ipswich and Stanthorpe Branch.
n
Reviewing technical specifications, tender documentation and building drawings.
n
Preparing accurate estimates incorporating subcontractor scope and pricing.
n
Developing scopes of work, clarifications and qualifications for tenders.
n
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, consulting engineers, building certifiers and internal stakeholders.
n
Working across multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring estimates are delivered accurately and on time.
n
Supporting ongoing improvements to estimating systems, processes and workflows.
n




SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
n
1+ years' estimating experience within the building or construction industry.
n
Experience preparing, cost plans, quotations and tenders.
n
Experience with BuildExact or similar estimating software.
n
Ability to interpret building drawings, technical specifications and tender documentation.
n
Good understanding of building regulations and construction requirements.
n
Residential & Commercial site-based project experience will be highly regarded.
n
Experience working across both client and contractor environments would be advantageous.
n
Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and work with limited supervision.
n
Exposure to Residential & Commercial construction would be advantageous, but is not essential.
n
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
n
