Job Description
We're partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience using ERP systems.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and month-end activities. You'll work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial processing, maintain ERP data integrity and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function.
n
Assist with month-end reconciliations and other finance tasks.
n
Process supplier and customer invoices accurately within the ERP system.
n
Reconcile supplier statements and prepare weekly payment runs.
n
Receipt customer payments and maintain accurate Accounts Receivable records.
n
Prepare monthly aged receivables reports and follow up outstanding balances.
n




Support ERP data integrity and contribute to efficient finance processes.
n
Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
n

About You
n
n
5-10 years' experience ina similar Assistant Accountant role.
n
Experience working with an ERP system is essential; SYSPRO experience will be highly regarded.
n
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business are preferred.
n
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
n
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
n
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and continuously improve processes.
n
