We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing Business Services and Tax team in Toowoomba. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, high-net-worth individuals and a diverse portfolio of clients. You will have excellent support from junior accountants and off-shore team helping you do the heavy lifting.

Key responsibilities
n

Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals
n
Manage a portfolio of business services and taxation clients
n
Provide proactive tax and business advice to clients
n
Assist with tax planning, cash flow management and business performance discussions
n
Prepare and review BAS, IAS and other compliance lodgements
n
Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
n
Support the integration of client files, accounting records and practice workflows
n
Mentor and support junior team members where required
n

Key responsibilities

What you will bring
n
n
2+ years experience within a public practice accounting firm
n
Strong technical knowledge across business services and taxation
n
Proficiency in Xero and XPM, with exposure to CAS360, Now Infinity and Ignition highly regarded
n
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes
n
CA/CPA qualifications not essential, highly regarded
n
