Centacare North Queensland is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Education and Life Skills Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Townsville. In this rewarding role, you'll deliver evidence-based education programs that empower children, young people, adults and families to strengthen their relationships, parenting skills, emotional wellbeing and life skills.

About the Role
n
As an Education and Life Skills Practitioner, you will:
n
n
Facilitate engaging psychoeducational programs for children and adults.
n
Deliver evidence-based parenting, personal development and life skills courses.
n
Conduct client intake, psychosocial and risk assessments, making appropriate referrals where required.
n
Collaborate with colleagues to plan, deliver and evaluate group programs.
n
Build strong relationships with schools, community organisations and external stakeholders.
n
Maintain accurate client records and contribute to continuous service improvement.
n
n
Desired Skills and Experience
n
About You
n
You are someone who enjoys connecting with people and facilitating engaging group learning experiences.
n
You'll also bring:
n
n
A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or a related discipline.
n
Experience working with children, families and/or community groups.
n
Excellent communication and group facilitation skills.
n
The ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
n
A commitment to culturally protected and inclusive practice.
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
n
You will also hold, or have the ability to obtain and maintain:
n
n
Queensland Driver Licence
n
Queensland Blue Card
n
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
National Police Check.
n
n
