We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP Business Objects Data Engineer to join a high-performing data and analytics team responsible for delivering enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and data visualisation solutions.
n
This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in modernising and enhancing reporting capabilities, translating complex data into meaningful insights, and driving the migration of legacy reporting assets to up-to-date analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of reporting and data visualisation solutions.
n
Provide expert guidance across SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Web Intelligence (WebI), Power BI, and related reporting technologies.
n
Drive the redevelopment and migration of existing reporting assets to modern analytics platforms.
n
Develop solution designs, reporting models, dashboards, and visualisation components that meet business and technical requirements.
n
Build and maintain SAP BusinessObjects Universes, WebI reports, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
n
Design and develop data engineering solutions that incorporate visualisation and reporting capabilities.
n
Manage production releases, deployments, and post-implementation support activities.
n
Establish and promote best practices, standards, governance processes, and quality frameworks.
n
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective business intelligence outcomes.
n
Produce high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, and specifications.
n
Lead troubleshooting activities and resolve complex technical issues.
n
Conduct peer reviews, quality assurance activities, and testing reviews.
n




Mentor and support team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.

About You
n
n
Extensive experience in data visualisation, reporting, and business intelligence development.
n
Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), including Universes and Web Intelligence (WebI).
n
Advanced Power BI development and dashboard design skills.
n
Experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
n
Strong understanding of data modelling, reporting architecture, and visualisation best practices.
n
Experience working within governed and secure data environments.
n
Ability to gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.
n
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
n
Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members.
n
