ABOUT WORLD WELLNESS GROUP
At World Wellness Group (WWG), we believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and wellbeing support, regardless of culture, language, visa status or financial circumstances.
We are a health social enterprise committed to advancing health equity and creating a more inclusive health system.
We provide health, mental health and wellbeing services for multicultural communities, including migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum.
Our work helps people access the support they need and addresses gaps in the healthcare system.
The Multicultural Connect Line (MCL) is a Queensland-wide telephone service supporting people from multicultural communities with mental health, wellbeing and social needs.
MCL provides culturally responsive support, brief interventions and service navigation, helping people manage challenges, connect with the right services and strengthen their wellbeing.
The service works with interpreters and Multicultural Peer Support Workers to ensure support is accessible and culturally appropriate.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role exists because people from multicultural backgrounds often face significant barriers when seeking mental health and wellbeing support.
Language barriers, cultural stigma, trauma, social isolation and unfamiliarity with Australian systems can make it difficult to access help when it is needed most.
As a Multicultural Support and Wellbeing Worker,

you will provide culturally responsive psychosocial support and brief Low intensity mental health interventions to people across Queensland via our specialist telephone service.
You will support clients experiencing a wide range of challenges, including mental health concerns, trauma, suicidality, gambling harm, alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues, social isolation and complex life circumstances.
Each day you will engage with callers, conduct psychosocial assessments, provide supportive counselling, develop practical support plans, advocate for clients, and connect people with health, mental health and community services that can improve their wellbeing and recovery.
Most importantly, you will help people feel heard, understood and empowered.
Your work will directly contribute to reducing barriers to care, increasing access to support, and improving mental health outcomes for multicultural communities throughout Queensland.
You'll join a passionate team that is committed to health equity, trauma-informed practice and culturally responsive care.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone passionate about supporting multicultural communities and making a genuine difference.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Experience supporting people from multicultural backgrounds in mental health,

psychosocial or human services settings.
Solid counselling, assessment and communication skills
A culturally responsive, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
Good digital and client record-keeping skills
We strongly encourage applications from people with lived experience of migration, multilingual candidates and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
In addition to a competitive salary, WWG offers a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and professional growth:
Option of salary sacrifice
Opportunity to work in a purpose-driven social enterprise committed to health equity.
Meaningful work that creates real impact for multicultural communities across Queensland.
A supportive, values-driven and culturally diverse workplace.
Opportunities for professional development and learning within an experienced team.
Exposure to innovative statewide programs addressing multicultural mental health, suicide prevention, gambling harm and addictions.
The opportunity to contribute to service improvement and sector-wide health equity initiatives.
If you're passionate about health equity and want to help multicultural Queenslanders navigate complex mental health and wellbeing challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
