Companion Animal Attendant
Part Time or Full Time Positions available

Do you want to make a whole heap of new furry & feathered friends?
Then we want to hear from you!
We are a small private, family-owned property located in Orange, NSW.
We are looking for a carer who is passionate about working with animals of all shapes, sizes and ages.
The successful applicant would be involved in the day-to-day care of dogs, cats & birds.
There may also be the chance to expand into care of horses, goats and cattle for the right person but not essential.
Some weekend and public holiday work will be required for both the full time or part time role.
General tasks will include:
feeding animals
bathing and grooming animals
cleaning animal waste
cleaning yards and enclosures
exercising animals
administering oral medications daily
loving our animals like they are your own
The successful applicant must possess the following:
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Animal Handling Skills– whilst loving animals is important it's not quite enough for this role and the candidate must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and cats including medicating, cleaning wounds etc.
Experience handling birds is desirable but not essential as long as you have a willingness to learn.
Previous experience in either a similar professional role, appropriate training or previous experience with complex animal care would be advantageous.
Strong Work Ethic– The position requires some one fit and healthy as there is a considerable amount of walking and lifting involved with position.
The applicant must be self-motivated and take pride in their work.
They must also be able to deal with fluctuating work loads and complete tasks on time.
Eye for detail– Sharp attention to detail is important to ensure the health and wellbeing of the animals as well as ensuring day to day tasks are completed to a high standard.
Excellent hygiene is essential.
Reliable– must be punctual and reliable with their work attendance.
Friendly & energetic– you will be working in a small close team with other workers and family members.
Drivers License and own transport
Previous experience in grooming (bathing, brushing, clipping) is desirable.
Well above award wage offered for the right candidate.
Pay rates start from $*****/hr and increase depending on experience up to $35/hr.
Also includes all standard inclusions such as leave accruals and superannuation contributions.
