Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced APS6 Clinician to join Open Arms – Veterans Families Counselling in the Hervey Bay area.
The important parts: Full-time hours – 37.5 hours per week.
Hervey Bay location.
24-month engagement.

What you will be required to do: As an APS6 Clinician, you will provide skilled clinical services within Open Arms, supporting veterans and their families and contributing to positive outcomes for clients.
The role will involve: Providing high-quality counselling and clinical support to eligible veterans and their families.
Assessing client needs and developing appropriate therapeutic approaches and support strategies.
Building strong, professional relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and other service providers to support client outcomes.
Applying professional judgement and clinical expertise to complex client matters.
Contributing to a safe, respectful and client-focused workplace.
Working in accordance with relevant legislation, professional standards, departmental policies and procedures.
To be successful in the role you will: Have relevant qualifications and professional experience in counselling, psychology, social work or a related discipline.
Hold current professional registration/accreditation where applicable, such as AHPRA, AASW,



PACFA or ACA .
Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and counselling skills.
Have experience working with clients experiencing complex or challenging circumstances.
Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Be able to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and a high level of attention to detail.
Be committed to providing a trauma-informed, client-centred service.
Be an Australian citizen, as required for employment in the Australian Public Service.
Be able to successfully complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance .
