This QLD state department is seeking a capable and values-driven Project Engineer (Project Systems Representative – PSR) to support the successful delivery of road construction maintenance projects.
This role will work closely with Supervisors and Project Managers, assisting with project coordination, systems management, and day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities Scheduling and coordinating project resources Document control and compliance tracking Procurement coordination and cost tracking Monitoring project progress and preparing reports Coordinating subcontractors, materials, and site activities Supporting delivery of road construction, electrical, and maintenance works Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained across project activities Maintaining accurate records and project documentation Working collaboratively within a team to deliver projects efficiently Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards at all times Successful candidate Demonstrates solid knowledge of road construction maintenance Leads by example and sets high standards for quality and performance Shows a strong work ethic and ownership of tasks Works effectively independently and as part of a team Maintains accurate records and seeks feedback for continuous improvement Demonstrates confidence and sound judgement when making decisions Understands when to escalate issues to ensure project risks are properly managed Is committed to Workplace Health Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, and anti-discrimination principles Mandatory Requirements A current Queensland "C" class driver's license (or equivalent) A current White Card Willingness to undertake reasonable travel to project site Flexibility to work hours outside of regular day shift (nightworks overtime) Full PPE gear Desirable Skills Experience Experience in road maintenance, construction, or similar field Civil construction background with added structures experience Strong communication and teamwork skills Previous leadership or coordination experience If you are a civil engineer with background experience in the road construction/ maintenance project space looking to get your foot in the door with one of the states largest state departments - this is the role for you!
