As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has become available for a passionate Trainer Assessor to join their team.
The Opportunity: This is an exciting chance for an experienced Trainer Assessor or an industry professional looking to transition into a rewarding training career.
Working across classroom, practical and workplace-based environments, you'll play a key role in delivering nationally recognised training programs, assessing learner competency, and helping students develop the skills and confidence required for successful careers in industry.
Whether your background is in construction, mining, transport, warehousing, manufacturing, civil, trades or another operational field, Dawsons Training is eager to speak with passionate professionals who enjoy sharing their knowledge and developing others.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Delivering engaging, industry-relevant training programs across classroom, practical and workplace-based learning environments while ensuring compliance with training package and RTO requirements.
Assessing learner competency using approved assessment tools and providing constructive feedback to support successful learning outcomes and qualification completion.
Adapting training delivery methods to suit varying learner needs, experience levels and learning styles while maintaining a positive and inclusive training environment.
Maintaining accurate training, assessment and attendance documentation, ensuring all records are completed in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.
Promoting safe work practices and maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety throughout all training and assessment activities.
Participating in continuous improvement activities including validation, moderation, resource development and maintaining industry currency.
Your Skills Experience: To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of industry expertise, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
You will ideally possess: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or TAE*****).
Strong hands-on industry experience in construction, mining, transport, warehousing, manufacturing, civil works, logistics, trades or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate and communicate effectively with adult learners.
Passion for coaching, mentoring and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage training records and compliance documentation accurately.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for training delivery when required.
Current First Aid Certificate, Blue Card and National Police Check, or the ability to obtain.
High Risk Work licences, assessor accreditations and previous RTO experience will be highly regarded but are not essential.
Importantly, High Risk Work Assessor Accreditation is not essential.
Dawsons Training is willing to invest in the right person and provide support to obtain High Risk Work accreditation and additional qualifications where required.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Cairns, working Monday to Friday.
Applicants must be able to work from Cairns and have the legal right to work in Australia in a manner that allows them to meet the ongoing requirements of the position.
Employer sponsorship is not available for this role.
