This opportunity combines financial control, technical accounting, process improvement and finance transformation , supporting the business as it continues to evolve its finance function across Australia and Current Zealand.
The Role The role will play a key role in strengthening financial governance, improving processes and controls, and driving greater efficiency through systems, data and automation.
Overseeing accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial reporting Strengthening the financial control framework across Finance operations Leading balance sheet integrity reviews, including reconciliations, provisions, accruals and risk assessments Ensuring compliance with AASB/IFRS and corporate accounting policies Managing external and internal audit processes, including resolution of findings Maintaining and enhancing accounting policies, SOPs and financial governance documentation Leading the finance transformation roadmap, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate manual work Driving standardisation, simplification and best-practice finance processes Improving management reporting and BI capability Partnering with Operations, Finance,
Group Office and external stakeholders to improve service levels and decision-making Coaching and supporting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement About You This is a broad and hands-on role suited to a finance professional who combines strong technical accounting capability with a genuine passion for process improvement and transformation.
You will be a technically strong finance professional with a strong financial control foundation and a demonstrated ability to improve the way finance operates.
You will bring: CPA or CA qualification Strong experience across financial accounting, financial control and management reporting Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a small finance team Proven ability to improve processes, strengthen controls and stabilise complex finance environments Experience working within a global multinational organisation , with exposure to international reporting requirements Experience working with shared service centres and/or offshore finance teams Immediately available or able to commence within 1–2 weeks Why Consider This Prospect Broad Financial Control and Transformation role with genuine scope to influence the finance function Opportunity to combine technical accounting with finance transformation and process improvement Opportunity to strengthen financial governance across an established global organisation High level of interaction with senior Finance, Operations and Group stakeholders Opportunity to drive meaningful improvements across systems, controls, reporting and processes
