A growing biotech/manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to lead and scale the facilities function across manufacturing, research and corporate workplaces.
This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring all sites operate safely, efficiently and compliantly, while building the operating model, systems and governance required to support future growth.
The Opportunity You'll own the end-to-end facilities portfolio—covering GMP manufacturing environments, non-GMP R D/laboratory facilities, and general workplace operations.
You'll partner closely with Technical Operations, R D, Quality and Finance to ensure infrastructure is reliable, fit-for-purpose and aligned to business priorities.
Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day facilities operations across sites, ensuring secure and efficient performance Develop and implement facilities strategy, maintenance programs and a scalable operating model (incl. governance and reporting) Support GMP manufacturing facility requirements and compliance expectations Provide facilities and infrastructure support for R D / laboratory environments (utilities, services, site capability) Manage site services (cleaning, security, waste, parking, workplace upkeep and amenity standards)



Build and manage vendor/contractor management and procurement (preferred suppliers, SLAs, performance management) Establish asset lifecycle and maintenance systems (preventative maintenance, asset registers, calibration schedules, documentation) Lead, coach and develop the facilities team with a continuous improvement mindset About You (Essential) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Construction Management or related discipline 10+ years leading facilities/engineering/site operations in a GMP-regulated pharma, biotech or similar regulated manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience building or transforming facilities operations, systems and processes Strong capability across maintenance strategy, asset lifecycle, contractor management, and cross-functional stakeholder partnering Confident leader with a practical, outcomes-focused approach and robust safety mindset How to Apply Apply now or contact Fuse Recruitment for a confidential discussion.
