About the BU Join John Holland's Queensland Building team , delivering landmark projects across health, education, civic and commercial sectors.
Our current and recent QLD work includes Waterfront Brisbane , major hospital programs such as Logan Hospital Expansion (Stage 2) and Princess Alexandra Expansion , and we're also progressing through Early Contractor Involvement for the Brisbane Stadium as part of a joint venture.
About the Role The main priority of the role is to ensure accurate cost plans / estimates of allocated projects are completed on time,



in accordance with required technical standards and to provide leadership in the preconstruction phase of the project.
Key Responsibilities Cost plan / estimate project quantities and costs in preparation of major tenders on time to a high standard Interpret drawings, specifications, briefs, scopes, and standards and assess their impact on project costs Understand legislation that could have an impact on project costs including relevant building codes Monitor current pricing, new techniques and cost trends Establish trade cost code / work breakdown structure for alignment and analysis with benchmarking Ensure alignment and relationships are maintained with Cost Planning Tertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Project/Construction Management 10 years' construction experience Multi-disciplinary estimating experience Advanced financial management skills Advanced skills in contemporary estimating software packages Experience in Construct Only, Design
