As aFinancial Capability Worker, you will provide information, money management skills and coaching to help clients make financial decisions and build financial resilience.
This also includes providing community education workshops.
You will provide person-centred financial education and support by meeting clients where they're at, helping them build financial capability, and offering practical tools like budgeting and coaching.
Facilitate warm referrals to internal and external services, ensuring clients feel welcomed and supported, especially those new to service systems.
This is a part-time max term (0.8 FTE - 30 hrs hours per week) chance until 30 June ****, based in Albany.
The successful candidate must already hold or be working towards completion ofCertificate III in Community Services Work or equivalent incorporating the following, mandatory, financial literacy units:
CHCFLE301A – work with clients needing financial literacy education
CHCFLE302A – educate clients in fundamental financial literacy skills
CHCFLE303A – educate clients to understand debt and consumer credit.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You are a passionate individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients.
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups.
A well-developed understanding of financial literacy and resilience




Demonstrated experience in providing financial support to clients in a coaching and mentoring setting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a diverse range of clients and organisations
Ability to communicate with and respond to the cultural sensitivities required by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients.
Hold or be working towards a vocational Certificate III in Community Services Work (desirable)
You must have full working right within Australia and possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year.
A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us.
The organisation may seek to request an international police clearance if necessary.
