About the role
n
Exciting opportunities are available for Registered Nurses to join our Children's ward, with both permanent and temporary positions available.
n
Working as part of a supportive and team-oriented multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, timely and high-quality nursing care to children and adolescents with a range of acute and complex health needs. You will work closely with children, their families and carers to deliver compassionate, family-centred care and support the best possible outcomes for every child.
n
You will be supported to build your confidence and capability in paediatric nursing, with opportunities to work alongside experienced clinicians and further develop your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Provide safe, evidence-based and family-centred nursing care to infants, children and adolescents
n
Work collaboratively with children, families and carers, medical, nursing and allied health professionals
n
Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments and recognise, respond to and escalat
n
Develop, implement and evaluate individualised plans of care in partnership with children and their families
n
Provide education, support and reassurance to children and their families throughout their hospital journey
n




Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Minimum 12 months paediatric nursing experience
n
Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision‐making skills
n
A motivated team member with an interest in paediatric nursing and caring for children and their families
n
