About the role
n
As a Disability Support Worker at People Care Services, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals living with disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives. This casual/permanent part-time position is based in Hervey Bay, QLD, and offers flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.
n Candidates must be available to work across 24/7 shift patterns including weekdays, weekends, and evenings as required.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Providing personalised support and assistance to individuals with a
rangeofdisabilities,
enabling them to participate in daily activities and achieve their goals
n
Assisting with personal care, including grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
n
Facilitating community engagement and recreational activities to promote socialinclusion Maintaining detailed records and documentation to ensure the highest qualityofcare
n
Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement
individualisedsupport
plans
n
Advocating for the rights and needs of your clients
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life
n
Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or healthcare preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build trust and rapport with your clients
n
A caring, patient, and empathetic nature, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual
n
A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
n
Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification ishighly regarded
n
Must possess a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check at the time of application
n
Must hold current First Aid and CPR certification at the time of application
n
Valid National Police Check (no older than 6 months)
n
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa
n
Must possess NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
Must possess NDIS New Worker Induction Module
n
Must possess NDIS Supporting Safe & Effective Communication Module
n
Must possess NDIS Supporting Safe & Enjoyable Meals Module
n
