Job Description
Nurselink Healthcare is seeking reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to a client in the Ballarat area.

We are looking for support workers of any gender who have a sound understanding of neurological disabilities. Knowledge or experience supporting people living with Huntington's Disease will be highly regarded.
n
The role involves helping the client maintain independence, participate in the community and manage day-to-day activities in a respectful and supportive manner.
n
Key Duties
n
n
Provide disability support in the client's home and community
n
Assist with community access and social participation
n
Provide prompting and support with personal care
n
Undertake light household cleaning duties
n
Support the client with daily routines and maintaining independence
n
Provide respectful, patient and person-centred care
n
Observe and communicate any changes in the client's support needs
n
n
About You
n
n
Compassionate, patient and reliable
n
Comfortable supporting a person with a neurological disability
n




Familiar with or willing to develop a solid understanding of Huntington's Disease
n
Able to communicate clearly and professionally
n
Able to work independently and follow individual support plans
n
Available across 7 days of the week, including a variety of shifts
n
Comfortable working shifts of a minimum of 2 hours
n
n
Previous experience working in disability, community care, neurological support or complex care will be highly regarded.
n
Relevant qualifications, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR and other required compliance documentation should be current or obtainable prior to commencement.
