Operations Area Manager - Work for a Major Online Retailer!

We are on the hunt for an experienced Operations Area Manager to join our client, the World's largest online retailer, at their Jandakot Customer Fulfillment Centre.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or large-scale Retail Manager who loves leading people, improving processes and delivering results in a high-volume environment.
n
The Role:
n
n
As an Operations Area Manager, you will take ownership of a key area within the Fulfillment Centre, which may include Receive, Stow, Pick, Pack or Ship.
n
You will be responsible for:n
n
Leading and developing a team of Operations Section Managers and their direct reports
n
Coaching, mentoring and motivating your team to achieve operational goals
n
Maintaining high Health and Safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture onsite
n
Developing performance goals and objectives to ensure customer expectations are met
n
Reviewing work forecasts and determining daily production requirements
n
Collaborating with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and Human Resources
n
Partnering with the wider management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
n
Identifying operational challenges, analysing root causes and driving process improvements
n
Managing performance and ensuring your team remains engaged, productive and focused on results

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, reviewed every 3 months.
n
You will work a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, which will include at least one weekend day.
n
The Person:
n
n
We are looking for someone who is:n
n
A natural leader who knows how to motivate and develop people
n
Customer focused and results driven
n
Experienced within Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or large-scale Retail Management
n
Experienced in directly managing employees and their performance
n
Comfortable leading sizable teams in a fast-paced environment
n
A strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills
n
Confident diving deep into operational issues and finding practical solutions
n
An excellent verbal and written communicator
n
Experienced in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve performance
n
