Located at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, Jessie McPherson Private Hospital operates as a distinct private hospital within the Monash Health network, with the benefit of close connection to the capability, infrastructure and multidisciplinary expertise of a major tertiary health service.

We also operate Monash Heart Private at the Victorian Heart Hospital, providing private cardiac care within Australia's first dedicated cardiac hospital.

About the Role
n
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Grade 2 to join our Special Care Nursery team at Jessie McPherson Private Hospital. This role will suit someone who is committed to providing evidence-based, family-centredneonatal nursing
care,demonstratesstrong
clinical judgement and collaboration, and contributes to secure, high-quality outcomes for newborn infants and their families through clinical
leadership,advocacyand
continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
n
In this role you:

Provide high-quality, evidence-based, family-centrednursing care to neonates requiringspecial
care,recognisingand
respecting the dignity, culture, values and individual needs of infants and their families.
n
Independently assess, plan,
implement,evaluateand
document care,monitor forclinical
deterioration,initiateappropriate
responses, and expedite concerns to ensure the safety and wellbeing of neonates.




n
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams,
parents,familiesand
external service providers to support safe care transitions, informed decision-making,
dischargeplanningand
referral pathways.
n
Contribute to a culture of professional excellence through clinical leadership, mentoring, preceptorship, ongoing professional development, quality improvement activities,
researchparticipationand
adherence to clinical practice guidelines.
n
Promote safe, high-quality care
bymaintainingprofessional
standards, managing clinical risk, supporting continuous improvement
initiatives,complying
withNational Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, and acting as an advocate for
neonates,familiesand
the nursing profession.

About You
n
You are a
compassionate,skilledand
adaptable Registered Nurse who is committed to providing safe, evidence-based, woman-centredcare.
Youdemonstratestrong
clinical judgement, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to continuous learning,
qualityimprovementand
professional excellence.

You will bring:
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
n
Proven ability to provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates requiringspecial care, including assessment, care planning, clinical monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency response within scope of practice.
n
Strong
interpersonal,communicationand
relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, resolve conflict,
influenceoutcomesandestablishpositive
partnerships with
parents,familiesand




multidisciplinary teams.
n
A demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement, family-centred care, safety, professional accountability, and respect for diversity and inclusion.
n
The flexibility to work across a rotating roster and maintain all required employment screening, immunisation, mandatory education and professional development requirements.
