We are seeking an experienced Fabrication
MaterialsCoordinator
to join our Supply Chain team in Bunbury. Thisis a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of
procurement,fabrication,
engineering, and production, ensuring the rightmaterials are available at the right time to keep projects movingsafely, efficiently, and cost effectively.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you willbe responsible for interpreting engineering and
fabricationdrawings,
preparing material requirements, coordinating suppliers,and supporting workshop job packs and documentation to ensureproduction readiness.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings to determinematerial specifications, dimensions, grades, andquantities.
n
Prepare material take-offs, bills of materials, andprocurement requirements from approved drawings and
fabricationdocumentation.
n
Source and procure materials, consumables, and services inline with project requirements and procurement procedures.
n
Obtain supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, andcoordinate purchase orders and deliveries.
n
Expedite deliveries and resolve supply issues to minimisedisruption to production schedules.
n




Support verification of material
certifications,traceability
records, and compliance documentation.
n
Create and maintain job packs, job cards, and
procurementdocumentation
within company systems.
n
Collaborate with fabrication, production, warehouse,quality, and project teams to ensure materials and informationare available when required.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives thatenhance procurement reliability, reduce waste, and improvesupplier performance.

Qualifications. Skills and Experience
n
Essential
n
n
Trade qualification in fabrication, mechanical, or arelated discipline, or equivalent
workshop/materialsexperience.
n
Experience in fabrication, workshop planning,
procurement,materials
coordination, or manufacturing environments.
n
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering andfabrication drawings.
n
Experience preparing material take-offs, bills ofmaterials, and purchasing requirements.
n
Solid communication skills with the ability to workeffectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP,
purchasing,inventory,
or document management systems.
n




Strong organisational skills and the ability to managecompeting priorities and production deadlines.
n
Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
n

Desirable
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Supply Chain
Operations,Procurement,
Logistics, or a related discipline.
n
Experience working with steel suppliers and
materialtraceability
requirements.
n
Experience using ERP, inventory management, purchasing, ormanufacturing systems.
n
Exposure to workshop job packs, fabrication instructions,and production documentation.
n
