Your Team

You will be part of a high-performing engineering team within the Technology and Delivery division, responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable, resilient platforms that underpin critical market infrastructure. The team works closely with product and operations to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance systems, driving engineering excellence, up-to-date architecture, and continuous improvement to support ASX's mission of a stable and efficient marketplace.

Your Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and customize Calypso modules (workflows, trade processing, interfaces, reporting)
n
Provide BAU support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and defect resolution
n
Implement enhancements and configuration changes aligned to business requirements
n
Build and maintain integrations with
upstream/downstream
systems (e.g., market data, clearing, reporting systems)
n
Participate in release cycles (build, deployment, regression, UAT support)
n
Collaborate with QA to support test automation and validation of trade flows
n
Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of Calypso services
n
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment automation (GitLab, Ansible, etc.)
n




Document technical designs, configurations, and fixes
n
n
Your Experience And Qualifications
n
Must have
n
n
8–10+ years' experience on Calypso
implementations/upgrades
n
Strong Core Java development (collections, multithreading, JDBC)
n
Hands‐on experience with the Calypso platform (APIs, workflows, engines, messaging)
n
Strong understanding of capital markets (trade lifecycle, derivatives, FX, fixed income)
n
Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server)
n
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting
n
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
n
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible
n
Experience with Kafka / messaging frameworks
n
Expertise in system integration and complex Calypso customizations
n
n
Nice to have
n
n
Experience with MarkitWire, clearing workflows, collateral management
n
Experience with Calypso version upgrades
n
Exposure to automation frameworks / QA integration
n
Knowledge of ITIL processes
(incident/problem/change)
n
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
n
n
