Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands onand making a genuine difference through practical, people-focused HR?

We are partnering with a purpose-driven Not-for-Profit organisation to appoint an experienced HR Manager to lead the day-to-day HR function and support a diverse, multi-site workforce.
n
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys more than just strategy. You will be working closely with leaders and employees, providing trusted advice, resolving issues, strengthening people practices and helping create a workplace where people can thrive.
n
You'll have the opportunity to lead a small HR team, influence organisational culture and make a tangible difference to both employees and the communities the organisation supports.
n
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day HR function while providing strategic and operational support across the organisation.
n Your role will include:
n

Lead, mentor and support the HR team
n
Provide practical, trusted advice to leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle
n
Manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters
n
Oversee recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning
n
Support leaders with performance management, employee development and capability
n
Contribute to learning and development initiatives
n
Ensure HR policies, processes and practices remain compliant and fit for purpose
n
Monitor HR systems, reporting and workforce data and identify opportunities for improvement
n
Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and systems
n
Partner with leaders across a diverse, multi-site workforce
n
Contribute to broader people and culture initiatives that support organisational strategy
n

You are a confident,
pragmatic and solutions-focused HR professional who enjoys working alongside people and leaders to get things done. You will be someone who can confidently move between strategic conversations and hands-on HR delivery. You're comfortable dealing with complexity, can exercise sound judgement and are known for building strong relationships and providing advice that is both practical and commercially sensible.

You will bring:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
n
Proven experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role
n
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
n
Experience managing a broad range of employee relations matters
n
Demonstrated experience across the full employee lifecycle
n
Experience supporting leaders and building leadership capability
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
n
A high level of emotional intelligence, discretion and sound judgement
n
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
n
n
Experience within the Not-for-Profit, community or human services sector will be highly regarded.
n
