Job Description
Supporting a Managing Director and team on Criminal Law, Regulatory and Workplace Law at one of Queensland's leading specialist law firms..

Working on complex, high-profile and interesting Criminal Law, Regulatory & Workplace matters
n
Minimum of 3 years Legal Assistant experience is essential (in any area)
n
Criminal Law experience is preferred but not essential
n
The Role
n
n
Your responsibilities will include:n
n
Diary management and coordinating appointments, deadlines and court commitments.
n
Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal correspondence and court documents.
n
Managing confidential client files and matter administration.
n
Opening and closing files, archiving and document management.
n
Preparing and coordinating electronic and hard-copy briefs for counsel, experts and clients.
n
Filing and inspecting documents with courts, tribunals and government agencies.
n
Liaising with clients, barristers, experts and other stakeholders.
n
Arranging transcriptions,
correspondence, interviews and file notes.
n
Billing and general practice support tasks.
n
Contributing to the efficient running of a busy legal practice.
n

Your experience
n
You will have a minimum of 3 years Legal Assistant experience. Criminal Law experience is preferred but not essential. You will also have strong organisational skills and time management skills.
n
The Law Firm / Salary / Perks
n
Well established leading criminal law and employment law specialist law firm. Have 32 staff. Working on complex, high-profile and interesting matters. Have a collaborative, supportive culture. Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience (between $80,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation).
n
