Our client, an established and highly successful import and distribution business is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its finance team and support accurate reporting, commercial decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.

The role:

Manage financial data integrity, accounting compliance and reconciliations.
n
Support month-end processing, journals and management reporting.
n
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.
n
Provide finance support to operational and commercial teams.
n
Assist with audit, statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
n
Contribute to process improvement, automation and finance projects.
n
n
About you:
n
n




At least three years' experience in an Assistant Accountant either in commercial or a public practice environment.
n
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
n
High attention to detail, solid integrity and a genuine interest in commercial performance.
n
Takes ownership, works collaboratively and embraces continuous learning.
n
Reliable, commercially curious and comfortable managing competing priorities.
n
n
Working in a team of five finance operatives this is a newly created role to support the CFO with financial reporting and assisting with improvement and streamlining of internal processes.
