Job Description
n
Reporting to the Team Leader - Maintenance, you will undertake a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure our environment remains safe, functional and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving,



takes pride in their work and values making a positive difference in the lives of older people.

Carry out general maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance across the facility.
n
Assist with repairs to fixtures, fittings and building infrastructure.
n
Maintain grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard.
n
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks appropriately.
n
Support emergency repair work when required.
n
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and other departments.
n
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Contribute to a comfortable, homelike environment that supports resident wellbeing and independence.
n

Previous experience in a general maintenance role.

Strong practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks.

Experience using maintenance tools and equipment safely.

Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles.

The ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
n
Strong time management and organisational skills.
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team.
n
National Police Clearance.
n
Current Manual Driver's Licence
n
Trade/Construction experience and/or relevant Trade Qualifications
n
Experience in aged care, retirement living or similar environments.
n
Current COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (highly recommended)
