Exciting opportunity to join The Office of the Secretary within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 role with a salary range of $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus superannuation
Temporary role (up to 9 months) based in Sydney CBD, hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs
A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for roles that may become available over the next 18 months

About The Role
Assist with the development and coordinate portfolio-wide reporting, short-term strategic projects and governance activities. Support the delivery of high-quality reporting, analysis and briefing products to assist executive decision-making, monitor progress against strategic priorities and ensure effective coordination of cross-portfolio activities. Assist with time-limited projects related to Machinery of Government activities to support executive decision-making, organisational priorities and effective portfolio outcomes. The role may also be assigned to work across the Government Services Branch.

About You
We're looking for someone with:
Government experience, with a strong understanding of parliamentary processes,
executive administration, and the machinery of government.
Proactive and outcome-focused, with the ability to identify priorities and deliver with minimal direction.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in quick-paced environments.
Experience developing systems, processes, and reporting frameworks, including establishing new approaches where required.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all levels, including technical experts, executives and minister's offices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex issues.
