Senior Power Platform Developer (Dataverse)

Foundations Care are undertaking a digital transformation program built on the Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse
n
We are seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer to work independently alongside our Project team to deliver specific Dataverse and Power Platform project deliverables — designing the data architecture, building the applications and automations on top of it, and applying AI capability (such as Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Copilot features in Power Apps/Power Automate) where it adds value.

This role is intended to free up in-house developers to focus on business-as-usual operations and support of third-party solutions, while ensuring project delivery meets the organisations security and regulatory obligations.
n
The role works closely with internal IT, governance, and compliance functions.
n
This role is a 12-month assignment, and it will report directly to the CEO.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Design and implement Dataverse data model components (tables, relationships, business rules, security roles) for assigned project deliverables.
n
Build model-driven (and where relevant canvas) apps to support transformed business processes.
n
Develop automations and workflows using Power Automate.
n
Configure Dataverse security roles, column-level security, and access controls in line with CSG's data security requirements.
n
Integrate Dataverse with other Microsoft 365 / Azure services and external systems as required.
n
Apply AI capability within Dataverse and the wider Power Platform — including Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models,



and Copilot features in Power Apps and Power Automate — to streamline project deliverables.
n
Ensure any AI-enabled components (Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, Copilot outputs in Power Apps/Automate) are grounded in Dataverse data, respect existing security roles and column-level security.
n
Manage data migration into the new environment.
n
Input into existing environment management practices (solutions, ALM, environment strategy) across development, test, and production, working within the structures the in-house team maintains.
n
Produce clear documentation of the data model, security design, and configurations delivered, to support handover to the in-house team.
n

Required skills and experience
n
n
5+ years building on the Microsoft Power Platform, with deep Dataverse experience.
n
Strong data modelling skills within Dataverse (tables, relationships, business logic).
n
Proven experience building model-driven apps and Power Automate flows.
n
Solid understanding of the Dataverse security model: security roles, business units, column/row-level security.
n
Experience with solution-based ALM and setting management.
n
Experience integrating Dataverse with Microsoft 365, Azure, or external systems.
n
Data migration experience.
n
Experience working in regulated or sensitive-data environments.
n




Practical experience applying AI within the Power Platform/Dataverse ecosystem — e.g. Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, or Copilot in Power Apps/Power Automate — including prompt design and grounding AI outputs in Dataverse data.
n
Understanding of responsible-AI and data-governance principles when working with AI-enabled components (Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, Copilot outputs in Power Apps/Automate) — including grounding outputs in Dataverse data, respecting existing security roles and column-level , and recognising the heightened care required given the vulnerability of CSG's client cohort.

Desirable

Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-400 Power Platform Developer, PL-600 Solution Architect).
n
Experience with Power BI, Azure Functions, or Dynamics 365 apps.
n
Experience in health, disability, aged care, or community services sectors.
n
Familiarity with Australian data security and privacy obligations.
n
