Purchasing Officer | Inventory Control | Warehousing

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a hands-on Purchasing & Warehouse Officer to join their team. This role involves a mix of Purchasing, stock control and warehousing.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-house position (Monday–Friday) with reasonable overtime as required. The role reports directly to the Production Operations Manager and plays an important part in keeping their operations running smoothly.

About the Role
n
This is a busy hybrid role that combines purchasing and warehouse operations. You will be actively involved in the day-to-day flow of goods through the warehouse while also managing purchasing tasks and stock control.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Receiving incoming goods and accurately receipting stock into the system
n
Putting stock away and maintaining an organised warehouse
n
Picking parts for production jobs
n
Identifying stock usage through picking and then ordering replacement parts per the orders just picked
n
International purchasing and cost conversions
n
Stock control and regular stocktakes
n
Maintaining accurate records and inventory data
n
General warehouse duties and administrative support
n




Purchasing custom products
n
n
About You
n
To succeed in this role you will need to be organised, reliable and detail-focused. While the inventory system they use is straightforward and easy to use, a strong eye for detail, especially with numbers is essential.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience in purchasing and warehousing; this role is a mix of both
n
Stock Control and / or Kanban experience
n
Strong administrative and IT skills
n
Initiative to learn
n
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
n
The ability to work hands-on in the warehouse as well as at a desk
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
n
The ability to work well within a hands on and small, team-oriented setting
n
