OT Support Engineer – Managed Services

We are partnering with an established automation and renewable energy technology organisation to build a brand-new Managed Services team and is looking for several OT Support Engineers to support its growing portfolio of automation, renewable energy and critical operational technology solutions.

Role
n
As an OT Support Engineer, you will join a newly established Managed Services team providing Tier 1 support for operational technology environments.
n
You will work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, maintain documentation and help ensure critical operational systems remain reliable and supported.
n
This role is particularly suited to someone with experience in OT or industrial environments, rather than a purely traditional corporate IT support background.
n

Providing Tier 1 support across operational customer environments
n
Troubleshooting OT systems, networks and automation solutions
n
Supporting SCADA, PLC and RTAC environments
n
Assisting with OT network and automation-related issues
n
Working directly with customers to understand and resolve issues
n
Managing customer expectations and providing clear technical updates
n
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and knowledge articles
n
Escalating complex incidents to the appropriate
engineering/project
teams
n
Supporting cyber security and renewable energy environments
n
Contributing to the development of Managed Services processes and support frameworks
n
Participating in a rotating shift roster and providing 24/7 operational support
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone with a genuine background in Operational Technology, automation or industrial systems support.
n
You will ideally have experience with some of the following:
n

Operational Technology (OT) support
n
Managed Services environments
n
SCADA
n
PLC environments
n
RTAC
n
OT networking
n
Industrial automation
n
Control systems
n
Renewable energy or utilities environments
n
Basic automation and scripting
n
Experience within the renewable energy or utilities sector will be highly regarded.
n
Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
n

Location & Working Arrangements
n
Melbourne is preferred, however candidates based in the following locations will also be considered Brisbane, Hobart, Launceston, Devonport
n
The role operates on a hybrid basis, with approximately 3-4 days per week in the office during standard day shifts. Night shifts can be worked from home.
n
The position is based on a 38-hour working week, with on-call and shift allowances provided.
