Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and professional individual with a desire to develop your career in the F&B;/resort environment. You will demonstrate a real passion for all things F&B;, with the ability to lead and motivate your team and create exceptional experiences for our guests. You will be leading the daily operations in a hands-on role.

Joining our resort, in the role of Conference and Events Supervisor you will bring your F&B; talent and flair to contribute to creating exceptional and personalised experiences for our guests in each of our F&B; outlets and in our Conference + Events spaces.
n
You will also be playing a key part in delivering this vision all whilst developing and enhancing your own career with a global hospitality leader.

Set in the picturesque Blue Mountains with views of the Jameson's valley, the Multi-Award-winning Fairmont Resort and Spa boasts 224 rooms, 8 Food and Beverage Outlets, a large Conferencing and Events department, 18-hole golf course, multiple family and wellness facilities, a 16 room Day Spa, Blue Mountains Ice-Skating Rink as well as ongoing developments

About the opportunity
n
Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, and working closely with the broader Food & Beverage and Events leadership team, you will support the successful delivery of conference, meeting,
and event operations at the resort. Leading from the front, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of conferences and events, ensuring exceptional service standards and seamless guest experiences.
n
You will play a key role in ensuring all events are delivered to the highest standard, engaging team members to provide a warm and genuine welcome, anticipate client and guest needs, and go above and beyond to create memorable moments.
n
In a role where truly no two days are the same, you will have the opportunity to be involved in:
n
n
Supervising the operational delivery of conferences and events, ensuring service standards align with resort procedures, brand standards, and client expectations
n
Leading, motivating, and coaching team members to deliver exceptional Conference & Events service, escalating any concerns to the Conference & Events Manager or Talent & Culture as required
n
Coordinating event set-ups, pack-downs, and service flow across meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
n
Liaising closely with key departments including Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office, Sales, and AV to ensure seamless event execution
n
Assisting with staff training and development to enhance service delivery, product knowledge, and career progression
n
Supporting rostering requirements with consideration to business levels, payroll budgets, and operational needs
n
Ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety, SOPs, and relevant legislation and award requirements
n
Handling client requests and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure client satisfaction
n

About You
n
n
Experience of working in a
supervisory/assistant
manager role in full table service al a carte restaurants or hotels preferably within a 4.5 – 5-star venue
n
Friendly, professional and engaging manner with the ability to remain calm, positive, and level-headed during peak service periods dealing with any issues that may come your way
n
Experience in leading, coaching and training a team and handling any issues sensitively and confidentially in line with resort procedure and values
n
Working knowledge of the latest food and wine trends
n
A hands-on operational leader with the ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
n
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification
n
Flexible and available to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays over a 7-day roster
n
Desire to create an amazing experience for each guest and the ability to motivate and engage team members to achieve this
n
Have an eye for detail and venue presentation ensuring impeccable cleanliness and good repair of the outlets addressing and rectifying any discrepancies
n
Impeccable grooming and presentation to lead the team by example
