As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality oral health care across our community clinics and outreach programs. Working alongside a supportive team of dental professionals, you'll help make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our diverse community every day.
n
This position requires working across multiple sites, including: Footscray, Niddrie, Kensington, Smile Squad, and outreach programs, based on clinical service requirements.
n

Work with other members of the Oral Health team, to provide optimal care to patients
n
Assist in the provision of Oral care education and promotion, maintaining high level consideration of patients' needs
n
Provide clinical chair side assistance, preparing and maintaining the clinical setting, including equipment and instruments
n
Ensure efficient client management, including providing records and medical histories
n

Certificate III in Dental Assisting
n
High level of clinical competence, including chair side assisting and infection control, consistent with best practice
n
Sound knowledge of public dental program and understanding of public oral health philosophy, detailed understanding of Infection Control
n
Victorian Driver's License
n

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
