National Procurement and Purchasing Manager

Gulli Food Distributors is entering an exciting phase of national growth, and we're seeking an experienced National Procurement & Purchasing Manager to lead and elevate our procurement function across Australia.
n
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and day‐to‐day execution of procurement and purchasing across our multi‐site operation. You'll play a critical role in driving cost efficiency, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring reliable supply to support our continued growth.

About the Role

This is a hands‐on, senior leadership role with national impact.

You will:
n

Develop and implement a national procurement strategy, policies, and governance frameworks
n
Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements
n
Own end‐to‐end purchasing operations, including imports and lead‐time management
n
Drive cost savings, margin improvement, and working capital efficiency
n
Partner closely with Distribution, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams
n
Strengthen inventory optimisation, availability, and supply continuity
n
Identify and mitigate supply chain and supplier risk
n
Lead, coach,



and develop a high‐performing procurement and purchasing team
n
n
About You
n
You're a commercially minded procurement leader who thrives in fast‐moving environments and knows how to balance strategy with execution.
n
You will have:
n
n
8–12+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
n
Proven experience in national or multi‐site procurement environments
n
Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation
n
Experience with imports, offshore suppliers, and lead‐time management
n
Solid commercial and financial acumen
n
Confidence leading people, holding standards, and driving accountability
n
ERP / MRP systems experience and data‐driven decision making
n
A proactive, organised, and outcomes‐focused approach
n
