The Role
We're looking for an experienced
Senior Pre-Construction Manager
to lead preconstruction activities across our commercial projects.
You'll work closely with clients, project teams and subcontractors to develop robust budgets, programmes and procurement strategies, identifying risks and opportunities early and helping ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction into delivery.
What You'll Do
Lead and coordinate the
preconstruction process
across multiple projects.
Review drawings for
constructability, scope gaps and value engineering opportunities
.
Lead subcontractor tendering and bid analysis across all trades.
Develop project programmes to support accurate estimating and procurement.
Prepare, manage and update
project budgets and cost plans
.
Present proposals, budgets and recommendations directly to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Work closely with Delivery and Design teams to ensure a smooth transition into construction.




Support project profitability while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
About You
We're looking for an experienced construction professional with strong commercial awareness and a proven background in preconstruction and estimating.
You'll ideally have:
7-10 years' experience in construction estimating and/or preconstruction
, ideally within commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of subcontractor markets, trades and procurement.
Experience
scoping, analysing and managing subcontractor bids
.
Strong budgeting, estimating and value engineering capabilities.
A good understanding of
building codes, health & safety and construction methodologies
.
Experience using Microsoft Project and construction/project management software.
Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A degree in
Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
is preferred.
