A newly created opportunity with an established international organisation undergoing a significant period of growth in Australia.
This is a genuine opportunity to
own the finance function for a major recent operation
, reporting directly to the Finance Director ANZ and working closely with Operations and senior leadership.
The role offers a strong mix of
financial control, reporting and commercial business partnering
, with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to help shape processes and financial capability as the operation develops.
Candidates with backgrounds in
FMCG, manufacturing, logistics & supply chain, food & beverage, industrial services or other large-scale operational environments
will be particularly well regarded.
The Role
The position is approximately
60% financial control/reporting and 40% commercial partnering
, including:
Own monthly financial reporting, management packs and financial commentary
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash-flow forecasting
Maintain strong financial controls and support audit and tax requirements
Partner with Operations on labour costs, overtime, KPIs and cost optimisation
Provide commercial analysis to support operational decision-making
Lead financial analysis and business cases for CAPEX and investment
Monitor financial performance, risks and financial commitments
Work with senior stakeholders to improve processes and financial visibility
Act as the key finance representative for the operation
About You
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who combines
strong technical accounting capability with commercial judgement
.
You will ideally have:
CA or CPA qualification
12+ years' accounting and finance experience
Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience
Proven ownership of
month-end, budgeting and forecasting
Experience partnering closely with Operations or other commercially focused stakeholders
Exposure to
CAPEX, investment cases and cost optimisation
Experience across financial controls, audit and tax
Project accounting experience would be advantageous
Experience with a sophisticated ERP environment
The confidence to operate independently and take ownership
A hands-on, commercially minded approach
The role is predominantly
onsite in Western Sydney
, with the potential for one day working from home once established and subject to business requirements. Initial interstate travel will be required for training, with occasional travel thereafter.
