Customer Service Officer - Spring Racing Carnival

We are looking for dedicated and personable Customer Service Staff to join our team supporting the Spring Racing Carnival for ****. Multiple temporary assignments are available, every application will be considered.
n
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking and processing bets, operating wagering terminals, overseeing EBT machines, and handling cash transactions. This is not a food and beverage assignment.

Responsibilities
n

Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
n
Taking and processing bets accurately and efficiently
n
Operating wagering terminals and 'stand alone' EBT machines
n
Overseeing cash handling procedures and reconciliation
n
Resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely and effective manner
n
Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times
n
Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for customers and colleagues
n
Working at the iconic Flemington Racecourse
n
Outstanding pay, including paid training
n
Shifts for all four race days
n
Support from experienced Operators
n
Company shirt provided
n

Day-to-day
n
n
Greeting customers and assisting with their betting needs
n
Processing bet slips and transactions accurately
n




Monitoring and maintaining wagering terminals and EBT machines
n
Resolving customer inquiries and providing information about betting options
n
Adhering to cash handling procedures and maintaining a tidy work area
n
Collaborating with team members to ensure a positive customer experience
n

Requirements:
n
n
Previous experience in customer service or a similar role
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to handle cash and perform basic math calculations (not required for all roles)
n
Proficiency in operating wagering terminals and EBT machines is an asset (desirable)
n
Knowledge of responsible gambling practices is (preferred)
n
Must be over the age of 18
n
Be available to work all 4 race days and 2 in-person training sessions.
