Job Description

The Payroll SME provides subject matterexpertise, analysis,designand
advisoryexpertiseacross
core Human Capital Management platforms, including Employee Central (EC), Onboarding (ONB), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other SuccessFactors modules.
n
Key Accountabilities
n
Deliveraccurateandtimelyfortnightly
payroll processing, including leave, allowances, deductions, superannuation, tax,timesheetsand terminations,in accordance withlegislation, the VPS Enterprise Agreement and departmental policies.
n
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee information in SAP SuccessFactors and ensure payroll, personnel and work records are
complete,accurate,secureand
appropriatelyretainedin
accordance withlegislative and departmental requirements.
n
Provideaccurate, well-researched andtimelyadvice to employees and managers on payroll,
employmentconditionsand
benefits, resolving queries effectively through service management systems such as Salesforce.
n
Support the Payroll Manager, Service Leads and Payroll Advisers to achieve payroll production timelines and quality
outcomes,demonstratingeffective
communication,
collaboration,flexibilityand
problem-solving.

Stakeholder Engagement and Influence- Proven ability to build andmaintainstrong working relationships with senior stakeholders, including HR, payroll,vendorsand technical teams. Demonstrated
experiencerepresentinguser
needs in governance and delivery
forums,providingauthoritative
advice,
influencingoutcomesand
resolving complex issues throughappropriate
escalationpathways.

Delivery within Complex Governance Environments-
Demonstratedexperience
contributing to the delivery of complex HCM initiatives, balancing scope, risk,qualityand timelines whileoperatingwith a high degree of autonomy. Strong understanding of working within established governance, assurance and whole‐of‐government frameworks.

potential courses of action to achieve objectives based on an in-depth understanding of the business environment and its systems; champions system thinking across theorganisationand VPS more broadly acting as a thought leader in this area; establishes an integrated perspective of theorganisation'ssystems and identifies the leverage points where intervention will add value
