Diagnostic Technical Support Specialist – Automotive (OEM)

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist with strong diagnostic capability and a genuine interest in modern vehicle systems. This role suits a technician who enjoys problem-solving, working with advanced electronics, and supporting other technicians to resolve complex faults.
n
You will work across a wide range of systems including ADAS, body control modules, vehicle networks, and software-driven platforms, while gaining exposure to OEM-level diagnostics, factory systems, and new model launches.
n
This is not a customer call-centre or IT support role. It is a hands‐on technical position supporting dealership technicians in a growing OEM environment.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Provide technical support to dealer technicians on diagnostics and repair procedures
n
Assist with fault diagnosis across systems including ADAS, body control modules (BCM), powertrain, chassis,
and infotainment
n
Use OEM diagnostic tools and software to analyse faults, read live data, and guide repairs
n
Support electrical diagnosis including CAN / LIN communication, sensors, actuators, and control modules
n
Escalate complex technical cases to senior technical and factory teams where required
n
Support technical readiness for current model launches and technical updates
n
Assist with technical training and technical guidance to dealer technicians
n
Maintain accurate technical case records, notes, and reports
n
Identify recurring technical issues and provide feedback to improve product quality
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Qualified automotive mechanic or auto electrician (or equivalent experience)
n
Dealership experience diagnosing and repairing modern vehicles
n
Strong interest and aptitude for diagnostics and electrical fault finding
n
Working knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including:n
n
ADAS (radar, cameras, calibration)
n
Body control modules (BCM)
n
CAN / LIN vehicle networks
n
Infotainment and software updates
n
Sensors, actuators, and control units
n
n
Comfortable using diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
n
Clear communicator able to explain technical concepts logically
n
Well organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple cases
n
Holds (or is eligible to hold) a valid automotive repairer's licence
n
Willing to travel occasionally for dealer support or training
n
