About the Role:
n
Due to continued growth within our Queensland operation, One Rail Australia have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Drivers to join the business mid ****. The positions will be in the Mackay region, based at our Sarina depot. If successful you will be joining a high performing team focused on safety, continual improvements and teamwork that is largely responsible for the success of One Rail in Queensland. As a member of the team you will be part of the next exciting stage of One Rail's progress in Queensland.

One Rail Australia will support you through and provide you with all the training you need to become a Qualified Train Driver. Upon completion of your training, you will be able to operate a locomotive and provide operational support to ensure safe and efficient train movements throughout the Queensland region.

About You:
n
n
Sound mechanical aptitude
n
Above average numeracy and literacy skills
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot challenges as they arise
n
Proven ability to maintain high levels of concentration for long periods of time
n




Dedicated commitment to safety including working within stringent safety protocols and procedures at all times
n
Ability to work a 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
n
Excellent work ethics e.g. punctuality and integrity
n
The ability to work as part of a team
n
Hold an unrestricted motor vehicle licence
n
Please note: this is a residential position and candidates must reside in the Mackay region.

The Process
n
As part of One Rail Australia's recruitment and selection process, short listed applicants will be required to undertake required pre-employment checks and testing, inclusive but not limited to;
n
n
Provide a recent national criminal history check.
n
Provide a Current C Class or higher Drivers Licence.
n
Undertake a Cat 1 Rail Medical
n
n
