We?re looking for a Senior Manual Machinist to joinour Fabrication Team in Hemmant Workshop, working across precision machining, heavymachine operations, fitting and alignment for industrial fabrication, repairand maintenance projects.
n
This is a hands-on role for a machinist who knows theirtrade, works independently and takes pride in getting the job right.
n
What the Role Involves
n
You?ll be responsible for precision manual machining acrossa range of industrial fabrication, repair and maintenance projects.
n
You?ll be involved in:
n
n
Settingup and operating manual lathes, borers, mills, grinders and drill presses
n
Turning,milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and precision machining
n
Readingdrawings and working to tight tolerances and specifications
n
Precisionfitting, assembly, alignment and quality inspection of components
n
Workingindependently
while supporting apprentices, junior machinists and thewider workshop team
n
Maintainingmachinery,
tooling and a clean, safe workshop setting
n
n
Precision machining. Technical expertise.
Qualityworkmanship.
n
Are You an ENAP Fit?
n
n
8+years? experience in manual machining
n
CertificateIII in Engineering ? Mechanical Trade or equivalent
n
Strongexperience operating manual lathes, borers and milling machines
n
Strongknowledge of manual machining techniques and processes
n
Abilityto read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
n
Strongfitting,



alignment and precision measurement skills
n
Abilityto work independently and solve machining challenges
n
Experienceworking with a range of materials and industrial components
n
TIGand MIG welding capability highly regarded
n
Experiencementoring
apprentices or junior machinists highly regarded
n
n
