Global investment bank with a top-performing natural resources coverage team in Australia. Their advisory work has been at the forefront of some of the largest and most high-profile deals in the sector in recent years. Due to increased activity and a substantial pipeline, the firm wish to appoint an experienced Associate.

The Opportunity
n
This is a unique chance to join a high performing and one of the most respected investment banking teams. As an Associate you will play an integral role supporting corporate and institutional clients across mining and energy sectors.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
The management and execution of M&A;, ECM and/or DCM transactions
n
Lead and coordinate deal execution processes, working closely with senior bankers and product specialists
n
Build and review complex financial models, valuations, and transaction analyses
n
Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and live deal materials
n
Conduct in-depth industry research and financial due diligence




n
Attend client meetings and contribute to new business origination
n
Mentor and develop junior team members as they build their investment banking skill set
n
Collaborate with coverage and product colleagues across the firm's global network
n
n
About You
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a front-office investment banking or M&A; advisory role
n
Top academic results with a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline
n
Well-versed in M&A;, ECM, and DCM, with a track record of executing complex transactions
n
Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills
n
Highly driven, diligent, and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple work streams under pressure
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with senior clients and management
n
A collaborative team player, equally comfortable working independently
n
