Job Description
APG Workforce are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant with painting experience to join a busy maintenance team based in the Innisfail region. This is a hands‐on role supporting painting and building maintenance activities across a variety of sites.

Pay Rate: $38 – $43 per hour + Super

About the Role:
n
You will assist with a range of painting and maintenance duties, including surface preparation, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities. The role will involve both indoor and outdoor work and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Assist with surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, and patching
n
Support painting and finishing tasks across various surfaces
n
Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and small plant
n
Assist with general building maintenance duties
n




Follow safe work practices and site procedures at all times
n
Work both independently and as part of a team
n
Support tradespeople and supervisors as required
n
About You:
n
Previous experience in painting, construction, or general labouring
n
White Card (or willingness to obtain)
n
Strong work ethic and reliability
n
Ability to work with minimal supervision
n
Good communication and teamwork skills
n
Driver's licence preferred
n
Desirable:
n
Experience in painting and decorating
n
Working at Heights or Asbestos Awareness (advantageous)
n
