Job Description
Physiotherapist – MSK & Sports | Part-Time → Full-Time Opportunity |
n
Physiotherapist – MSK & Sports | Part-Time → Full-Time Chance | Sub-Contractor Role
n
Athletic Soul Rehab | Fitzroy & Fitzroy North, Melbourne
n
Part-time | Wednesday & Friday (arvo) + Saturday | Opportunity to grow to full 2.5/3 days or full-time
n
Are you passionate about physiotherapy, evidence-based practice and becoming an exceptional clinician?
n
Athletic Soul Rehab (ASR) is looking for a motivated and ambitious MSK Physiotherapist to join our growing team across our Fitzroy and Fitzroy North clinics.
n
We're looking for someone who is genuinely excited by physiotherapy — someone who is hungry to learn, develop their clinical skills and build their own professional identity within a supportive and progressive private practice.
n
This role will initially involve a minimum of Wednesday afternoon, Friday afternoon and Saturday, with flexibility around exact hours and clinic location.
n
For the right person, there is significant opportunity for the role to grow. This could include extending Wednesday into a full clinical day (AM–PM) as your caseload develops, adding further sessions across either clinic and, should you desire it, ultimately developing into a full-time position across ASR's two locations.
n
About Athletic Soul Rehab
n
Athletic Soul Rehab is an established MSK physiotherapy clinic in Fitzroy, with our second location recently opened within Bundha Sports Centre in Fitzroy North.
n
We work with a diverse and active patient population, treating everything from everyday musculoskeletal injuries through to complex presentations, sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and return to sport.
n
Our approach is active, evidence-informed and individualised. We believe excellent physiotherapy should go beyond simply reducing pain — our goal is to help people build the capacity and confidence to get back to the things they love.
n
Both clinics provide access to excellent gym and rehabilitation environments within a busy sporting centre and gym, creating exciting opportunities for sports rehabilitation and community involvement.
n
Who we're looking for
n
First and foremost, we're looking for someone who loves being a physio and a team player.
n
You'll be someone who:
n
n
Is passionate about MSK physiotherapy and evidence-based practice
n
Is curious, motivated and hungry to continue learning
n
Enjoys active rehabilitation and progressive exercise prescription
n
Wants to continually develop their clinical reasoning and hands‐on skills
n
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Takes ownership of their patients and enjoys seeing rehabilitation through from injury to full function
n
Enjoys being part of a team while still having the independence to develop their own caseload
n
Is proactive and interested in building relationships within our local and sporting communities
n
Wants to grow professionally rather than simply move patients through a diary
n
n
Private practice experience would be highly regarded, but attitude, clinical curiosity and the right cultural fit are extremely important to us.
n
Have a clinical passion? Even better.
n
We strongly encourage our physios to develop their own clinical interests and professional identity.
n
We would be particularly interested in hearing from clinicians with an existing interest, experience or further training in areas such as:
n
n
Running injuries and running rehabilitation (we offer gait analysis in clinic)
n
Upper limb, wrist and hand rehabilitation (we already have advanced shoulder physio)
n
TMJ / jaw physiotherapy
n
Specific Sports Rehab
n
Strength & conditioning
n
Clinical Pilates
n
n
These aren't requirements. If you have another area of physiotherapy you're particularly passionate about, we'd love to hear about it.
n
For clinicians with appropriate Clinical Pilates qualifications, there could also be an opportunity to incorporate Clinical Pilates sessions into your working week as the role develops.
n
Your initial schedule
n
We are initially looking for availability for a minimum of:
n
Wednesday full day or shift
n Friday afternoon (can progress to full day)
n Saturday (3/4 day suggested)
n
The role will work across our Fitzroy and Fitzroy North/Bundha locations,
with the exact structure discussed with the successful candidate.
n
As your caseload grows, there is scope to extend Wednesday into a full AM–PM clinical day, add additional sessions and ultimately grow the position across both clinics (This could be within weeks).
n
If you're looking for a long-term opportunity, there is genuine potential to develop this into a full-time role.
n
Why work at ASR?
n
We want our clinicians to be able to focus their energy on becoming excellent physios — rather than spending their week buried in administration.
n
As part of ASR, you'll have access to:
n
n
Strong administrative support
n
Modern systems and AI-supported clinical and administrative tools designed to reduce unnecessary workload
n
Excellent gym and rehabilitation facilities at our Fitzroy North location
n
An established and growing referral network
n
Exposure to a large sporting community through Bundha Sports Centre
n
A varied and interesting MSK caseload
n
Clinical collaboration and support within an experienced physiotherapy team
n
Support with professional development and continued learning
n
Support to help build your individual identity as a physiotherapist
n
Support developing and promoting your own clinical area of interest
n
Opportunities for involvement with sporting organisations, community partnerships, workshops and education
n
Flexibility as your role and caseload develop
n
A genuine pathway from part-time to a larger role or full time position across our two clinics
n
n
We want our clinicians to develop a reputation for the areas of physiotherapy they genuinely care about, and we'll support the successful candidate in doing that.
n
What you'll need
n
n
Current AHPRA registration
n
Appropriate professional indemnity insurance (APA desired)
n
Eligibility to work in Australia
n
A strong interest in MSK physiotherapy and rehabilitation
n
Experience in these settings
n
Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
n
n
Sound like you?
n
If you're a physio who is passionate about what you do, hungry to learn and excited by the idea of developing your own caseload and clinical identity, we'd love to hear from you.
