The role

A fantastic prospect has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established global organisation based in Chatswood on an initial 12-month contract.
n
This role is suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and is looking to join a collaborative, high-performing finance team.
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
n
You will also partner with stakeholders across the business, assist with process improvements, and contribute to the ongoing success of the finance function.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting.
n
Assist with statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance activities.
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
n
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
n




Assist with process improvement initiatives and finance projects.
n
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial support and reporting.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
n

About You
n
n
CA/CPA qualified.
n
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role.
n
Robust technical accounting knowledge with experience in month-end reporting and reconciliations.
n
Experience using large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 or similar.
n
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
n
Available to commence immediately or at short notice.
