MMG Rosebery
n
Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia. The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions.
n
The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since **** and is one of Tasmania's largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.
n
It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.
n
The mine has a strong future, with extensive exploration activities which have continued to grow the resource and require mine planning beyond 10 years of continued operation.

Charge Up Operator
n
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor you will ensure that all aspects of operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with Company and Legislative standards and procedures.
n
These are permanent positions are offered on a 7:7 roster, DIDO or Residential to Rosebery.
n
Responsibilities include (however not limited to):
n
n
Following shift plan instructions as directed by your supervisor, ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
n
Charging development headings and production stopes.
n
Handling and transporting explosive materials in a secure manner.
n
Working collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets are met.
n
Safe operation of an Integrated Tool Carrier
n
Real time communication with Mine Control of all physical measures and delays
n
Completion and submission of all required shift reports and documentation to the Shift Supervisor
n
Conducting a thorough, timely and informative end of shift handover with your cross shift
n




Attend and actively participate in all required site and MMG training courses and meetings
n
Ensure that all assigned vehicles are operated in a safe and clean condition at all times
n
Using all provided equipment safety and within its design capability and purpose
n
Carrying out effective high quality workplace inspections, ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures.
n
Reporting of all incidents and hazards to your Shift Supervisor immediately
n
n
About You:
n
n
Shot Firers licence
n
3+ years experience in a similar role
n
Hold a DGSC or willing to apply for one
n
Experience with working in production and development crews or operating in this environmentwith an extensive knowledge off underground mining equipment and techniques.
n
Ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments.
n
Complete and carry out comprehensive and detailed end-of-shift communications
n
A willingness to partake in Pre-Employment Medical and D&A; Screen and Background checks.
n
A manual C Class driver's license.
n
First aid certificate – desirable.
n
Hold a current Working at Heights Certificate
n
