We're seeking a detailed‐oriented Financial Accountant who enjoys working across both financial and management accounting while partnering with the business to deliver accurate, timely insights.

About the Role
n
As the Financial Accountant, you will be part of the day-to-day finance function, maintain strong financial controls and work closely with our SLT to support strategic decision-making across the business.
n
This role offers variety and autonomy, combining financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in supporting our Construction and Minor Works divisions through detailed financial analysis and project reporting.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage general ledger activities including month‐end accruals, prepayments, and journals
n
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss reporting
n
Manage company cashflow forecasting and reporting
n




Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
n
Review weekly payroll and ensure compliance with relevant Awards
n
Deliver monthly management reporting, including monthly P&L; review meetings with department managers
n
Monitor project budgets, forecasting, project profitability, and financial performance
n
Work closely with our offshore accounts assistant
n
n
The successful candidate will ideally bring:
n
n
Accurate and timely reporting to help drive informed business decisions across the organisation
n
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role, with CA or CPA qualification preferred
n
Solid financial and management accounting capability
n
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and project-based reporting
n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
n
A proactive and hands‐on approach with strong problem‐solving skills
n
Payroll and Award interpretation experience
n
Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability
n
Experience within construction, trades, or project-based industries will be highly regarded
n
