About the Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day‐to‐day management and coordination of construction sites from commencement through to handover.
n
You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, maintain program performance and ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage all on‐site construction activities and daily operations.
n
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
n
Ensure works are completed in accordance with project programs and specifications.
n
Maintain high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.
n
Monitor site productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
n
Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
n
Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics.
n
Work closely with Project Managers,



consultants and clients to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
n
Manage defects, commissioning activities and project handovers.
n
Lead and foster a positive site culture that reflects Newlands' values.

About You
n
You are a capable and respected construction professional with strong leadership skills and a practical approach to problem‐solving.
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
n
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site management.
n
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
The ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and construction documentation.
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset.
